This is his original sketch book for Book of Drawing in Southern Asia published by Asahi Shinbunsha in 1943. Kansetsu left for the south Asia to sketch at the request of Asahi Shinbunsha in August in 1942. The books which were published contain the eighteen sketches. This sketch book has ten paintings of them, the title, sky above Mt.Fuji, oxcart in Menado, carriage in Menado, hot spring in Menado, sky above Mt.Bromo, snake charmer in Java, small shrine of Yamada Nagamasa, suburb of Bangkok, Saigon Canal and sky above Sakurajima
